LOD: Twitcasting.tv [Live Japanese]

My new obsession lately is improving my listening skills. I know I already have an advantage being in Japan and all but even though I live in Osaka I still have to speak and listening to English most of my days. Being an English teacher in Japan sometimes has it’s disadvantages. But I am not fretting. I try my darnest to study. I do have my lazy days but I still try to incorporate some kind of study even if its just listening. Anyway the link of the day is Twitcasting.tv

There are many sites like this already like livestream, vokle and so on but with this site I have seen many Japanese broadcasters. Therefore I’ve been on it almost everyday since I was introduced by my friend. If you already have a twitter this will be easy to sign up. Basically it’s just twitter live but for 30minutes a session.

Basically if you broadcast you have a 30min limit without interruptions. After that you have to press the “broadcast now” button. If you become popular then people can send you coins (from their points) and extend your live. And as you can see from the picture there is also a comments section. It’s not really fast like some sites where there is a chat box but I rather like it actually. You can twitcast through your iphone or android and you can choose between a live or a radio cast. ‘Live’ is showing the real you while ‘Radio’ is having a picture represent you or what you like. Either way the benefit of this site is to up your listening skills of live natural Japanese. Of course there are other broadcasters that speak English, Spanish and so on but with the good amount of Japanese “CAS”ters you can pick and choose who you want to watch and talk to with comments.
